What size should a QR code be for printing?
For business cards use at least 256×256px (≈ 2.5cm × 2.5cm when printed). For posters or large-format print, use 512×512px or larger so phones can scan from a distance. As a rule, the larger the print, the larger the QR code.
Can I change a QR code after I print it?
Static QR codes like the ones generated here encode content directly — changing the destination would require generating and re-printing a new code. If you need to update the destination without reprinting, use a URL shortener as the QR destination, then redirect the short URL.
What is error correction level and which should I choose?
Error correction lets a QR code be scanned even if part of it is damaged or obscured. This generator uses Level M (15% recovery). For logos overlaid on QR codes use Level H (30%). For clean digital use, Level M offers the best balance of scan speed and recovery.
What types of content can a QR code contain?
This tool supports URLs, email addresses (mailto:), phone numbers (tel:), SMS (sms:), WiFi credentials (WIFI:), and plain text. URLs are the most common — they let you update the destination without changing the QR code itself if you use a redirect.
How do I add a QR code to an invoice or business card?
